A new sanctuary was dedicated at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Travelers Rest, SC in May, 1991. Upon approaching the front entrance, the medallion above the portal becomes a focal point. The medallion, designed and created by Jim is an appropriate welcome to Trinity Church, containing fronds which signifies our source of life and growth, rooted in a concentric spiral, representing eternal life. As a church, the single unbroken cord of love, binds us forever with the eternal life-giving God.

The medallion was originally sculpted in terra cotta clay. The parts were then epoxied to a cement backing board which was then hoisted into place and rested on a steel beam. The entire surface was sealed with stucco, and painted.
