This project was completed for the interior of the Church and features the “Gospel Square” with each of the Four Evangelists’ Symbols.
St. Matthew the Evangelists’ Symbol is a winged man because Matthew begins with Our Lord’s genealogy as the Son of Man.
St. Mark the Evangelists’ Symbol is a Lion because Our Lord is portrayed as a King, the fulfillment of Old Testament prophesy.
St. Luke the Evangelists’ Symbol is a Bull because he starts his Gospel showing that Christ is the final full sacrifice.
St. John the Evangelists’ Symbol is the Eagle soaring down from and up to heaven from the very first chapter.
